Board Members

Talented and skilled business professionals are the core of the Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce. As a business community, we share our stories, our struggles and our successes. We encourage all of you to get involved and share your businesses with us! Please allow us to introduce your 2012 Chamber Board of Directors. Contact any of them if you have questions or comments regarding Chamber Membership privileges.

The Board of Directors of The Cool Springs Chamber is a working board consisting of members in good standing representing various segments of industry and a diverse matrix of characteristics. Board members serve a 3-year term and are typically responsible for at least one committee or program.

Chris Stout quickly made a name for himself as someone who gets involved with the chamber.  Chris first joined the communications committee and then was elected to the Board of Directors in 2009.  Chris was named new advisor of the year in 2009 for Shoemaker Financial thanks to his role in helping business owners design and implement the best financial plan for their business.  Chris works with owners on everything from executive compensation packages to group benefits.  Prior to becoming a Financial Advisor Chris spent 15 years as a TV Sportscaster.  Chris now uses his TV background while hosting a weekly financial segment on Nashville’s Fox 17. Chris and his wife Stacy Case-Stout are members of Brentwood United Methodist Church.  They are the proud parents of two children ages 5 and 4.

Sheree is a graduate of the University of Alabama who then worked with a national company managing client services for 14 years. She is a Nashville native who returned to the Brentwood/Cool Springs area with her husband and 3 daughters in 2003. She has owned Employee Benefits LLC since 2005. Her company assists local businesses with setting up, evaluating, and administering medical, dental, and other group benefit plans.

Gaylord Gardner

Gaylord graduated from Lipscomb University with a degree in Biochemistry in 1993 and from the College of Law at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Concentration in Business Transactions in 2005. In August of 2005, he joined the ICS Law Group as a transactional attorney. He currently manages the Business Planning Services Division of the ICS Law Group and works with business owners and entrepreneurs assisting them with their transactional legal needs. Some of his areas of practice consist of Contract Law, Buy-Sell and Succession Planning, Intellectual Property Law, and Charitable Organizations. He is married and has one daughter.

Peniruth (Peni) Ingram is a certified public accountant who has years of experience working in public accounting firms as a senior auditor and tax expert.  She is now using this experience in her own practice doing audit, accounting and tax preparation.  She recognizes that in this busy world, there are many business owners who have an expertise in providing goods and services to their customers, but haven't the time or ability to maintain their financial recordkeeping and are looking for solutions.  Peni provides solutions to the Chamber by serving on their board as Board Treasurer, and keeping track of their financial records.  The Cool Springs Chamber has become an integral part of Peniruth's professional, business and social life.  The Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce provide friends and business contacts, giving her life more purpose and meaning.  When not working on accounting, Peni is an accomplished mountain dulcimer player and bluegrass guitarist.

Kirsten Dernbach

Kirsten moved to the Brentwood/Cool Springs Area 6 years ago with Verizon Wireless. She is a graduate of Washington State University and an 18 year veteran of the wireless telecommunications industry. She is an Associate Director in Internet Marketing with a primary focus on the consistent delivery of exceptional internet sales, service and support for business customers. Kirsten, her husband John, and children Laurel and Ben, live in Brentwood.

Amy Cross Nance

Amy Cross Nance is a local attorney with a practice concentrated in areas which include real estate, wills and estate and small business law.  She is a lifelong resident of Williamson County and involved with the Rotary Club of Cool Springs, Franklin Parks, Relay for Life, Heritage Church of Christ and an alumni of Leadership Franklin.  Amy has served on numerous boards in the past including Chamber Boards. 

Kristen McBryde

Kristen McBryde has been with Interstate Hotels & Resorts for many years and is the Director of Sales for Aloft Nashville-Cool Springs.  Kristen graduated with a degree in Hospitality Management from Western Kentucky University, and has had an extensive career with many outstanding hotel properties.  Kristen was selected as Chair of The Cool Springs Chamber Young Professionals Committee, where she volunteers her time as a member of many networking groups.  Kristen McBryde and her husband, Matt, also own Tennessee Kettlebell, a functional training facility in the Brentwood Cool Springs area.  She is a certified Kettlebell Instructor and teaches group training in the morning and evenings, as well as personal instruction.

Tim Wells is the Area Vice President for Waste Management of Tennessee, Alabama and Kentucky.  he is responsible for sales, Customer Service, Operations and Environmental Compliance over 40 locations and 1,100 employees.  A 1989 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Mr. Wells has 22 years experience in the solid waste industry.  He and his wife, Amy, live in the Franklin area and have three children.  In his free time, Tim enjoys coaching his daughter's basketball and his son's baseball teams.

Jim owns and operates a luxury car dealership on Franklin Road that has earned the loyal patronage of many Middle Tennesseans, from music celebrities to famous athletes to people from all walks of life. Jim has been in business since 1995 and is known for giving everyone "the good deal" on their auto purchase. If you don't see exactly what you want on the lot, Jim can find any type of vehicle - what ever your heart desires - through his locator service. Jim and his wife have two boys (one of which just graduated from Auburn and is now the latest Kennedy selling quality cars). Jim has been an active member of the Chamber since the beginning.

Al Gregory has been recognized as one of the 25 most infulential people in Williamson County for fiscal year 2007.  Al has also been Chairman of the Board at the Franklin Housing Authority and was named Honorary Colonel of the State of Tennessee, recognized by Governor Ned Ray McWherter.  Al brings a wealth of knowledge to our Chamber Board.
Thomas McDaniel 
Boyle Investment Company
Thomas McDaniel oversees the office portfolio of Boyle Investment Company in nashville, which includes over 1 million square feet of existing space and another 3.5 million square feet in the planning and development stages.  Thomas joined Boyle shortly after the Nashville office opened in November 2011.  Thomas handles all activities related to Boyle's office properties in Nashville, including acquisition, development, and leasing.  Since joining Boyle, he has participated in hundreds of transactions totaling more that $500 million.  Thomas served on the Unification Task Force last spring and summer.

Shelly Robertson
Your Williamson Magazine
Shelly is a 30 year Williamson County resident. She is the Managing Publisher and Editor in Chief of Your Williamson Magazine - a social and community publication.  She was previously the Director of Special Events for the Heritage Foundation and Downtown Franklin Association, and has built her professional career in both the media and non-profit sector over the last 13 years primarily in our community. She brings a vast knowledge of both marketing and public relations. Shelly is a graduate of the University of Mississippi - Political Science/Journalism BA. Shelly and her entire immediate family live and work in the Williamson County community. With her two Pugs, Queenie and Scarlett, she plans on never leaving!

Gail Sanford

Gail Sanford, Vice President/Provate Client Banker at Avenue Bank began her banking career in 1971 with the Bank of College Grove.  A resident of the College Grove area since 1958, she and husband, John, have 2 children and 3 grandchildren.  Gail served as the first president of the Fifty Foward Center advisory board in College Grove and is a charter member of the College Grove Baptist Church.  She loves reading, traveling and spending time with her family. 

Amber Humphrey

Amber graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Healthcare Administration in 2000.  She received her MBA from Belmont University's Massey Graduate School of Business in 2003.  Amber began her career at Vanderbilt in early 2001, and has served in various roles since that time.  She is currently the Assistant Director at Vanderbilt Williamson, where she supports Williamson County practices in the areas of Space and Facilities, Telecommunications, Practice Assimilations, and Marketing.  Amber, her husband Jared, and their son live in Nashville.
